High energy and overflowing with choices, Camp Adventure meets your need for independence and variety! At the Takiff Center, campers have full use of the gym and athletic fields, a dedicated space for arts and crafts, and more. Camp includes one participant t-shirt and three swim shirts.
Camp fee includes three T-shirts, a camp picture, cookouts, special event days, water park visits, and field trips. We provide refrigeration for lunches when on site and offer a lunch service.

908520 - CIT - Counselor-in-Training

Learn how to work with children and develop leadership skills. One of the camp goals is to teach responsibility, so CITs must commit to the entire registered camp session. It all starts with learning how to apply and interview for a summer job. Applications will be available November 20 through May 1 at the Takiff Center and online. Qualified candidates will be contacted to set up a time for a one-on-one interview upon receiving registration. Parents and CITs must be able to attend mandatory CIT orientation/training from 10:00 am to noon on June 12 at the Takiff Center.

SCHOOL AGE CIT (FULL DAY)

This hands-on program will provide you with the skills needed to be an effective leader when working with school-age children. CIT’s will work directly with camp staff by assisting with daily activities at Sun Fun and Camp Adventure camps. Participants go on field trips with their camp group as well as participate in CIT-only field trips and trainings. CITs will receive guidance in the areas of lesson planning, safety, and organization skills. This is a truly rewarding experience for young adults interested in working with children and serving as a role model.

908521 - Preschool CIT- Counselor in Training

Experience what camp is like from a leader's point of view and bring your own energy and talents to our Preschool Summer Camps. Help lead daily camp activities while assisting counselors and children. Participants go on all walking and beach trips with their camp group as well as participate in CIT-only activities and trainings. CITs will develop teamwork skills, gain self-confidence, and learn leadership techniques.

Want to enjoy a little more summer fun before school starts? Join us for Summer’s End Mini Camp, a one week extension camp! This program starts at the conclusion of our regular eight-week camp session. First through fifth graders will have a blast as they participate in a multitude of activities including sports, arts and crafts, cooking, swimming, and outdoor activities. Cookouts and field trips to the Glencoe Beach and water parks are just a preview of the weekly fun. Campers should bring a swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen every day. We provide refrigeration for lunches when on site and offer lunch service.

Game On! Sports Camp 4 Girls
At Game On! Sports Camp 4 Girls, girls grade Pre-K-4th grade of all skill levels will learn and play multiple sports daily in an empowering, warm, and FUN environment. As always, safety is our top priority and with COVID-19, we are taking extra precautions including sanitizing equipment between uses, social distancing, and mask use if social distancing is not feasible. Since 2007, Game On! has been offering campers daily/weekly exposure to a wide range of sports including lacrosse, field hockey, soccer, volleyball, basketball, softball, tennis, yoga, fitness, karate, touch rugby, flag football, swimming, horseback riding and more. Whether you feel your daughter is athletically inclined or not, she will thrive. While sports and active play happen throughout the day, we also work to impact each camper's growth as an athlete and a person. Through our Healthier4Me program, we integrate discussion and lessons that focus on self-esteem, respect, nutrition, teamwork, leadership, communication, goal setting, making smart choices, sportsmanship, developing solid bodies, and other core values and life skills. Camp also includes exposure to role models through highly-trained staff, our motivational speaker series, and more. Our passion and mission is to ensure every Game On! girl develops a deep sense of what it means to feel empowered, confident, proud, and "GirlStrong."
