    101620 - Jr. Lifeguarding

    We offer a step-by-step skill development program that features the fundamentals of lifeguarding,
    including water safety, basic rescue techniques, first aid, CPR, weather and water conditions, how to spot rip currents and what to do when there is one. Safety is our number one priority. Lifeguard games, physical conditioning, free swim and respect for the lake environment will also be part of the day. Participants will gain valuable life confidence when they are in a beach environment. articipants must be able to swim 100 meters nonstop with stroke proficiency (freestyle and breast
    stroke only). A swim test must be taken on the first day of the program. Testing will be held in the lake. A Junior Lifeguarding Certificate will be issued at the completion of the program. Instruction is by American Red Cross Certified Glencoe Beach lifeguards and staff.

    Our instructors are committed to helping you learn to sail, familiarizing you with basic seamanship, introducing you to the wonderful sailing community of Lake Michigan, and taking special care that you learn safely and enjoy your new experience. You can expect to learn some basic knots, basic sailing maneuvers, safety procedures, wind-sensing, right-of- way, nautical terms, and the joy of sailing.

    101801 - Paddleboard

    Paddleboard Yoga
    SUP (stand up paddle) and yoga is a fun way to challenge your practice and paddle skills. Each session will involve active paddling along with strengthening and restorative yoga postures on the board. Work on your balance and core strength as you float on Lake Michigan. No prior paddling or yoga experience is required. Basic paddling techniques will be covered and options for yoga postures will be provided. We start with a short yoga sequence on land to practice in the water. All levels are welcome. Drop-ins allowed based on availability ($40 drop-in fee). Life jackets are provided.

    Intro to Paddleboard
    Come explore the world of SUP (stand up paddle) in a fun and safe environment. Workshops will focus on safety, understanding your equipment, paddle techniques and board control. This class is for ages 18+ and is subject to cancellation based on weather and wave conditions. Limited space, so register early! Drop-ins allowed based on availability ($45 drop-in fee). Life jackets are provided.

    Parent/Child Paddleboard
    Enjoy an intro to paddleboard class with your child. We will focus on safety, understanding your equipment, paddle techniques and board control. This class is for ages 8+ and is subject to cancellation based on weather and wave conditions. Limited space, so register early! Class price is per parent/child. Drop-ins allowed based on availability ($85/couple drop-in fee). Life jackets are provided.

    Intermediate/Advance Paddleboard Yoga
    For your avid paddleboarder and yogi, join us as we go through a full yoga sequence while on a paddleboard in Lake Michigan. We will work through arm balance, core, and inversion practice while on the board. This class is for ages 18+ and is subject to cancellation based on weather and wave conditions. Limited space, so register early! Drop-ins allowed based on availability ($45 drop-in fee). Life jackets are provided.
