In this all-levels, in-person class, students will use hand-building to create functional and sculptural pieces. This class is designed to accommodate new and returning students. New projects are shown each session. No class February 15.

312502 - Sculpting with Model Magic

Have fun creating sculptures with Model Magic, an air-drying, non-staining, easy-to- manipulate material! Our instructor will guide children with step-by-step instructions to make their own sculptures, with a new theme each week. All projects are age- appropriate, with no experience necessary or parent participation required. All materials are provided and dropped off at your doorstep. Red, blue, yellow, white, and black colors will be provided. The instructor will demonstrate how to mix them to create a full range of shades.

312503 - Hand Building for Teens

This all-levels, beginners welcome, hybrid class allows students the choice of working in the studio or from home for the session. The instructor will teach from the studio while broadcasting the demonstrations live on Zoom. Students working from home will have materials and tools provided and have their work fired using a no-contact pickup and drop off system. The instructor will do a new demonstration each week using hand-building techniques. This class is designed to accommodate new and returning students.

312504 - Clay for Teens - Intermediate

Designed for students with a minimum of two years’ experience. This hybrid class allows students the choice of working in the studio or from home for the session. The instructor will teach from the studio while broadcasting the demonstrations live on Zoom. Students working from home will have materials and tools provided and have their work fired using a no-contact pick up and drop off system. Students will build on their existing skills to create more complex forms and focus on developing their own style. Students must have minimum of two years of wheel throwing experience to use the potters wheel.

Tiny Footlighters
Allow your tiny thespian to discover the wonders of performance and play using their body, mind and imagination! This class will bring out the dramatic spirit of any preschooler through games and story theatre. Kinderlighters
Kinderlighters focuses on dramatic play through basic theatre games, improvisation, and storytelling. Utilizing the fun of props, costumes, music and movement, students will get the opportunity to expand their creativity and imagination both onstage and off. 312506 - Broadway Bound for Gr. 3-5

Broadway Bound
Join us this winter/spring for a very special Broadway Bound where students will rehearse and perform ALADDIN JR! Since current restrictions prevent us from singing indoors, our vocal rehearsals and recordings will take place on Zoom for the first month and a half of class. All choreography and scene work will be rehearsed and recorded safely in-person, culminating in a professionally edited video production for friends and family to enjoy! Don’t miss this opportunity to work collaboratively and have fun in a safe, interactive and creative setting!

Safety Guidelines

-Students will be placed in groups of 10 or less
-Masks will be worn for all rehearsals
-All choreography and blocking will be modified to ensure that students remain 6 feet apart when rehearsing and recording.
-No costumes will be shared
-Frequent hand washing and sanitizing will take place during class

Rookie Dribblers
The Rookie Dribblers program is designed to progress children through their early basketball experience. Children will be introduced to dribbling, shooting and in a fun and supportive environment.

Pro Dribblers
The Pro Dribblers program builds on skills learned in the Rookie Dribblers class and also introduces more fundamental techniques and basic rules of the game.

314450 - Preseason Clinics

The Glencoe Park District is hosting basketball clinics this winter to help you improve your skills! Our clinics will focus on the fundamental building blocks of basketball (dribbling, shooting, passing) but will also improve athletic skills (footwork, hand-eye coordination) and team building aspects (communication, teamwork). Clinics will also consist of scrimmages at the end of each class in which the coach will divide up teams evenly, and players will be able to test out their new skills against each other! The house league basketball clinics will be offered for grades 1-8, both boys and girls. Classes will be restricted to a maximum amount of 10 participants per class.

*If minimum numbers are not met, we will combine grades.

314502 - Flag Football

Players experience daily scrimmages with active instruction and tips from the coaching staff. Players are encouraged to employ skills used in football such as running pass routes, play calling, defensive positioning, and pass coverage. These skills and others will be put to use while the players scrimmage each week. This class will include a no contact format with all pass catches resulting in an automatic down at the point of the catch.

Explore and learn a different sport every 1-2 weeks. We may cover basketball, soccer, football, softball, lacrosse, volleyball, tennis, and more in a FUN, nurturing and positive environment! From our years dedicated to working with girls, we have the unique games and expertise to help each of your daughters to grow as a person and an athlete. As always, attention to teamwork, sportsmanship, self-esteem, respect, giving, and goal setting are incorporated into our program as well. A great way to expose and introduce your daughter to team sports!! Please come dressed and ready to play.

Total Sports
This enrichment program features a new sport each week. Some of the sports taught and played include basketball, floor hockey, football, kickball, soccer, and baseball. Children have the opportunity to acquire new skills and develop confidence in games they have played in previous classes.

Dodgeball
The youth dodgeball class gives participants an opportunity to play the popular game in a safe and supervised environment. The program uses super soft balls with the safety of game play being an important factor. Each week, different teams are formed and a different style of dodgeball are played.

Basketball Shooting Clinic
This clinic will help you improve shooting technique, confidence, range, speed of release, accuracy, footwork, and your overall shooting percentage! Players also learn how to work at home, develop mental toughness, practice smarter, and other intangibles to become a great shooter. Age levels are separated and players’ progress at different rates based on skill level.

Softball Skills
Participants learn the basics of softball in a fun environment that allows them to develop skills and implement them in games. Emphasis is placed on how to field, hit, run the bases, and the basic rules of the game.

Train like a pro, with the pros! Learn proper movement mechanics to run faster, jump higher and move more efficiently in your sport. RedLine Sports Performance Specialists combine their passion and knowledge to mentor young athletes through training programs that will help them achieve their goals and maximize their potential, while making them all around better athletes.
