Volleykidz is an introductory class for children ages 7-9. The lesson plan introduces the pass, set, and spike using a light volleyball. 302201 - USFS Tots Skating

The Tot Learn to Skate levels are introductory classes divided into three progressive levels designed for children with little or no prior skating experience. These classes are designed to help children five and younger develop the ABCs of movement – Agility, Balance, and Coordination. All classes will be taught in a safe and positive environment, incorporating fun and games to make class time an enjoyable experience for all.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: Proper fit and lacing of skates, appropriate attire, and helmets recommended. Rental skates are included in the class fee.

The Basic Skating levels range from introductory classes to classes for those with intermediate skating experience. Classes are divided into progressive levels, so children can learn with peers who have similar skating ability. 302530 - Minor Hawks

MINOR HAWKS: AGES 4-10. Developmental skating program to give skaters a solid foundation of skating, stick handling, shooting and passing. Skaters will learn how to be more proficient and agile on the ice. Proper skating techniques are the primary focus of the levels. Skaters should have passed Tot 1 or Basics 1 to participate.

We’re whipping up some fresh and tasty content for your budding kid chef this season by focusing on 3 super fun COOL-inary themes in our after-school cooking class sessions:
FUN-da-mentals: In our first class, your kid chef will develop confidence in the kitchen by learning the FUN-da-mentals: measuring, mixing, mashing, blending, and more! These skills set the foundation for cooking and baking, and students will learn these skills while creating a delicious sweet treat with a nutritious twist!
Kitchen Tools PhD: In subsequent classes, students will move on to earning their Kitchen Tools PhD! Recipes provide tons of engaging and tactile learning for kids to perfect their dicing, slicing, mincing, grating, folding and chopping with a wide variety of kitchen tools, from graters and immersion blenders to whisks, wooden spoons and kid-safe kitchen knives. These kitchen tools help develop and hone fine motor skills as kid chefs prepare savory recipes together with their peers.
COOL-inary Confidence: Students will also learn to “Cook Off the Cuff” for several classes and develop their COOL-inary Confidence with fun & flexible recipes that let them choose the vegetables, herbs, and spices from a bundle of colorful and tasty options. Each hands-on, real-world class will encourage your young chef to engage all of their 5 senses while expressing their own unique culinary creativity, trying new foods, and thinking about how each component will contribute to their own tasty recipe masterpiece in the end!
Our professional chef instructors guide kid chefs by providing safe, entertaining, hands-on learning throughout the class, but it’s the kid chefs who do the prepping and the cooking! Our class sessions are a BLAST for all ages! When kids get to touch the ingredients and have a hand in creating their food, they’re much more willing to try new foods.

Preschool Class

Learning Spanish is as easy as uno, dos, tres! In the online Amigos Spanish club, children will learn the vocabulary basics of self, family life, numbers, colors, shapes, greetings, days of the week and more during each 60 minute session with an experienced live instructor. We will be singing, playing games, and counting our way towards learning the Spanish Language. No class: January 18, February 15.

Develop your child's intellect through the royal game of chess! Current research has shown a strong link between chess and academic performance in a variety of areas, including mathematics and language arts. Chess has been proven to enhance children's motivation, concentration, focus, social skills, and creativity. Each class will consist of a fun, interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Both beginner and experienced players are welcome and will learn under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach. This boot camp class challenges kids with agility ladders, resistance bands, battle ropes, noodles, balls and more. The fun-filled curriculum uses games and drills that can improve coordination and cardiovascular conditioning, strength and flexibility while also boosting leadership, sportsmanship and teamwork skills.

Prepare and eat healthy, globally inspired recipes while learning to cook! Our chefs will reinforce kitchen skills and emphasize each area of cooking - terminology, ingredients, and nutrition. 311450 - Tinkrworks

Calling all artists! Ever wonder what it looks like bring your wooden canvas to life? Makerspace: Creative Technicians is a project designed for students to learn about the basics of design, art and programming. Students will use materials developed within the Makerspace to create a custom, interactive art project. Students will enhance their design with LEDs, sounds, ultrasonic sensors and motors. Throughout the build process, students use a proprietary programming environment to program their design and bring their electric canvas to life.

Due to COVID19, we will not be issuing refunds on class courses. Instead, a set of instructions and materials will be provided to students to complete the course from home in the event classes are canceled after the course has started in person. Students are required to bring their own iPad to class. All group and shared activities will be eliminated from this course and students will work individually and socially distanced. If a student needs an iPad this can be requested free of charge but quantity is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If COVID restrictions change: classes will continue with instructions from teacher, no refund issued.

311451 - The Coder School

Code Class is our entry level program, only for newbie coders. In our introductory Code Class, our Coaches use Scratch or Snap! to teach kids using our project-based game development curriculum, in a traditional class-like environment. By learning through repetition, students will be able to learn the fundamentals of coding in a fun and engaging way. Throughout the session, every student will have the opportunity to present a chosen project if interested. Though reading is not required for this class, it will be helpful if your child is a beginner reader. No class: February 3.

Dive into the world of hand sewing during this fun and creative four week virtual class. We will spend the first week learning about and reviewing hand sewing. Then, we will start sewing our Penguin Pillows. This is the perfect class for new or returning sewers. All supplies are included and will be mailed to your home. No class: February 15

Sewers need to register at least one-week in advance to receive their sewing kit in the mail. *Sewers will need to access zoom.

311603 - Amazing Minds: The World Around Us for Gr. K-2

Exercise your brain with Amazing Minds after school, where instructors help sharpen skills in math, science, geography, language arts, and reading through fun, hands-on activities. Science will come alive through our exploration of rocks and minerals, flight, weather, health and safety, and computers. Explore math by learning about money, geometry, and shapes. Travel to China, Ancient Egypt, Italy, and Australia to learn about other cultures, and enjoy our hands-on reading games involving the animal kingdom, ocean creatures, and even the preamble to the Constitution! No class February 13.
